The occupiers bombed the pumping station in Chernihivvodokanal today, killing four people.
This was reported in the Association of Ukrvodokanalekolohiya.
"Today in Chernihivvodokanal one of the pumping stations supplying water to the city was destroyed by a bomb attack," the statement reads.
The director of Chernihivvodokanal Serhiy Malyavko confirmed to the “Suspilnyy” [media channel] that a security guard, an employee and two members of his family had died.
The Vodokanal's Facebook page states that the maximum water pressure now provided by the water supply in Chernihiv is only sufficient for the first two floors.
“But it all depends on how your house is located. Those houses that are below the level of the pumping station will receive water. And those who are above the pumping station level - most likely won’t, "- the statement said.
Municipal services ask residents to turn to neighbors whose apartments have water supply or to neighboring houses which are located below the pumping station level.
“Help the elderly and people with small children. It may be difficult for them to bring water from neighboring houses, ” – they urge.
The occupiers covered Chernihiv and the region with shelling at night. As a result of the shelling, in particular, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was destroyed.
