We hold them responsible for their involvement in Russia's crimes in Ukraine,” said Liz Truss, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs. "Working closely with our allies, we will continue to increase pressure on Putin and stop funding the Russian military machine."

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, is convinced that the West made a terrible mistake allowing President Volodymyr Putin to avoid responsibility for the annexation of Crimea and the outbreak of war against Ukraine in 2014. Therefore, in his opinion, Russia should be left without profits from the sale of oil and gas.
