More than 14,000 Ukrainian refugees arrived in Lithuania

The national television and radio company LRT reported that almost 14,000 refugees from Ukraine had arrived in Lithuania. 

Lithuanian non-profit organizations say the 2.2m euros in donations donated to the Red Cross should be enough to allocate to refugees by April.

According to the Vilnius City Municipality, a free study of the Lithuanian language is also organized for Ukrainians.

The training course consists of 25 classes, duration - 3 months. The training of the first groups will begin on 16-18 March; then, the educators will form other groups. The Lithuanians emphasized that they would provide the participants with all the necessary materials for the classes.

Lessons will be conducted by volunteer students and teachers of the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University.
