On Wednesday, March 16, Facebook removed posts from the official pages of the Russian Federation that falsely claimed that Ukraine fabricated reports about the Russian bombing of children's hospital, reports Reuters.
On March 10, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Great Britain shared a fake about the "staged photo" of the shelled maternity in Mariupol. Twitter and Facebook called the publication insulting and removed it. Later, at least 18 official Twitter, Facebook and Telegram accounts of Russian embassies, including Costa Rica, Denmark, Greece, Iceland, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico and Tunisia, and the pages of some ministries shared the fake.
As a result of an air raid on the children's hospital in Mariupol, three people died on Wednesday, March 9, including one child. Later, a pregnant woman wounded in the raid died with her unborn child. The total number of people killed in Russian attacks on the city reached over 2000.
On March 16, Russian forces deliberately bombed Mariupol Drama Theatre, which served as a shelter to hundreds of residents.
