Russian enterprise "AvtoVAZ" sends its employees for a "planned corporate vacation" from 4th until 24th of April due to the "long-term crisis with the supply of electronics." Radio Svoboda was the first to report it following the message from the AvtoVAZ press service.

This "planned corporate vacation" was previously scheduled for 25 July until 14 August. However, the management of the enterprise had to reschedule it to "stock some sufficient amount of components to continue smooth operations of the factory in Toliyati and Izhevsk from the 25 April, and in May 2022."

Earlier, AvtoVAZ announced factory downtime on 5, 9, 10, and 11 March due to a "crisis with the supply of the electronic components." Both - Toliyati and Izhevsk factories - were shut down.

AvtoVAZ Group is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance; the group produces cars for the Lada, Nissan, Datsun, and Renault brands. The alliance, which includes AvtoVAZ, holds 35.5% of the Russian car market.

Earlier, Russian air companies complained that they were running out of spare parts for aircraft in the coming weeks as a result of the global sanctions imposed on Russia.
