Crimean Tatar human rights activist Abdureshyt Dzepparov was detained in Crimea. LB.ua correspondent from the scene reported this.
Abdureshyt was taken from his home in Belohirsk town, not far from Simferopol. "He was detained, taken to the regional department. It was not a search but an inspection. They confiscated all the equipment, for what reason - is unknown. Lawyers go to him in the regional department," - said the correspondent.
A support group from the Crimean Tatars gathered near the human rights activist's house. A dispute broke out with Russian security forces, who carried out the detention. One of the Crimean Tatars attempted to escape, because of which security officers fired into the air.
As a result, in addition to Dzhepparov, two other Crimean Tatars who came to support him were detained - Yakubov Fevzi Serverovych and Muhammad-Ali Dzhepparov Yusuf oğlu.
Last week, LB.ua published an interview with Dzhepparov, in which he talks about the situation in Crimea. The human rights activist also said that Crimean Tatars are waiting for the return of Ukraine as a big holiday.
In 2020, Abdureshit Dzhepparov was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
