Oleksandr Starukh, Zaporizhzhia regional state administration head, announced that volunteers had found two Russian train cars with sheet metal in the Zaporizhzhia region and handed them over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to meet their needs.
He said that the cars belonged to "some Russian owner", but the head did not name him.
"This metal was supposed to be used to make things that shoot at our soldiers. So, the metal was detained and confiscated for the needs of Ukraine's defence!" Starukh said.
"And we wish the former owners to follow the Russian warship!" he added.
Russia's war against Ukraine has lasted for 23 days. Russian troops are launching airstrikes on critical military and civilian infrastructure, destroying airfields, military units, oil depots, gas stations, churches, schools and hospitals.
The Russians are shelling residential areas with artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles. Columns of armoured vehicles are trying to surround Kyiv and several regional centres near the Russian border. Russia also strikes from the territory of Belarus and the Black Sea.
Russia calls the war with Ukraine a "special operation" and spreads false information about the developments. In addition, it is forbidden to call the war "war" in the Russian Federation and report actual data on casualties among the personnel of the Russian troops.
Negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations are underway; several stages have already occurred. However, no specific results have been achieved so far. Russia voices only its requests and does not fulfil any agreements.
