The governments of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia have jointly developed a ten-point plan, the implementation of which, according to the leaders of the three countries, should end Russia's war against Ukraine.
This was written by the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki in an article for Politico.
The plan provides for:
- Disconnection of all Russian banks from the international payment system SWIFT, so that the Russian economy does not adapt to new conditions.
- Introduction of a unified shelter policy for Russian soldiers who refuse to obey the Kremlin's orders.
- A complete ban on Russian propaganda in Europe.
- Closure of ports for Russian ships.
- Introduction of a blockade of road transport to and from Russia.
- Imposition of sanctions not only against the oligarchs, but also against all Russian business.
- Stop issuing visas to all Russian citizens so that the Russian people understand that they are responsible for the war against Ukraine and turn away from Putin.
- Imposition of sanctions against all members of the United Russia party.
- A ban on the export to Russia of technologies that can be used for military purposes.
- Exclusion of Russia from all international organizations.
"If this does not stop the war, we must move on. In Kyiv, we offered a peacekeeping mission under the auspices of NATO and other international organizations. If we cannot impose effective sanctions, we have no choice: we must protect the people of Ukraine with our own shields," Morawiecki stressed.
On 19 March, Poland offered the European Union to impose a total ban on trade with Russia.
The day before, Mateusz Morawiecki announced that Warsaw would work to de-Russify the Polish and European economies.
On 15 March, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslav Kaczynski, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa visited Kyiv. They met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and held talks with President Zelenskyy.
