As of the morning of March 27, 139 children were killed, and more than 205 were injured in a full-scale russian invasion in Ukraine, reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the agency, the most affected in terms of children losses were the following regions: Kyiv - 65, Kharkiv - 45, Donetsk - 53, Chernihiv - 38, Mykolaiv - 29, Luhansk - 25, Zaporizhia - 19, Kherson - 21, the capital city - 16, Zhytomyr - 15 and Sumy - 14.
On March 25, the russian military, using heavy artillery, shelled Velyka Oleksandrivka village in Beryslav district, Kherson region. A 4-year-old child died as a result of the shelling.
On March 26, two children were injured in shelling by the occupants of Melitopol, Zaporizhia region.
On the same day, russians opened fire on the town of Boyarka in Kyiv region. As a result, a child was injured.
Daily bombings and shelling damaged 733 educational institutions. Seventy-four of them were completely destroyed. The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions, and the city of Kyiv.
The Office notes that these data are not final because there is no possibility to inspect the places of shelling in areas of active hostilities and in temporarily occupied territories.
As reported earlier, the former Head of the Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk region, Deputy Chief of the National Police of Ukraine, General Vyacheslav Abroskin, offered the occupants an exchange: his own lives instead of children who remained in Mariupol.
