42 large international companies ignore calls to leave Russia or reduce their activity in this country.
This is evidenced by the results of the study by the group of experts from Yale University - one of the oldest and most prestigious American universities, said the telegram channel UkraineNow. So, since the large-scale invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine, more than 400 companies have announced changes in plans for Russia.
“But a part of the business remains in the country of evil. Most companies are from the United States (12), France (5), China (5), Taiwan (3) and Germany (2),” the statement said. Currently, one of the largest investors in Russia's economy are French companies. Namely, ADEO retail chains: Leroy Merlin, Auchan and Decathlon.
Earlier, the CEO of Auchan said that the company will not leave the Russian market. In response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's call to stop operating in Russia, Auchan Retail International CEO Yves Claude explained that the most important thing for the company is to “keep our employees and fulfill our main mission - to continue feeding the two countries (Russia and Ukraine - from ed.).” He pointed out that there are 231 physical stores in Russia, as well as an online store, and 43 stores in Ukraine.
The CEO of Auchan replied to Zelensky: the company will not leave Russia.
