On Sunday, 27 March 2022, more than 200 people were evacuated from a village in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region. They have been under blockade by Russian troops for more than a week. Over the last week, local residents have unsuccessfully tried to break through the blockade. However, the enemy did not allow Ukrainian citizens to leave the war zone.

The Chief of Police of the Kyiv region, Andriy Niebitov, reported about it.

"Today, after long and intense battles, civilians were rescued from the occupied village of Vyshhorod district. By walking, people managed to reach the place where they were picked up by volunteers, police, and local authorities. The law enforcement officers practically hold the exhausted and starved citizens in their arms," - the press service of the National Police cited the Kyiv Region Chief of Police.

Together with volunteers and local authorities, police evacuated more than 200 children, women, and the elderly using buses and police cars. Everyone is safe now.

In addition, according to the regional police, today, law enforcement officers evacuated 150 citizens from Severynivka in the Bucha district.
