Zelensky invites Merkel and Sarkozy to visit Bucha

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky recorded an address at the end of the 39th day of war. He appealed to the world politics and leadership of the russian federation, it’s inhabitants when tens of hundreds of civilians tortured by Russians were found in the territory liberated from the enemy.

In his appeal, in particular, the Ukrainian president invited former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former President of France Nicolas Sarkozy to visit the city of Bucha in Kyiv region destroyed by russians troops.

"I invite Mrs. Merkel and Mr. Sarkozy to visit Bucha and see what the policy of concessions to Russia has brought for 14 years. To see with your own eyes the tortured Ukrainians and Ukrainian women. I want to be understood correctly,” he said.

Head of State stressed: Ukraine doesn’t blame the West.

"We don’t blame anybody except that certain russian militaries who committed it against our people. Except for those who issued them orders. However, we have the right to speak of indecision," said Volodymyr Zelensky.

As reported by General Prosecutor Iryna Venediktova, 410 bodies of civilians killed by russians were taken out from Kyiv region. “This is the hell, should to be documented in order to punish the inhumans who committed it on our land. I emphasize, bring to justice in national and international courts," she wrote.

Earlier, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba called on the mission of the International Criminal Court to come to Bucha for evidence of russian war crimes.
