Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg believes we should be realistic about the matter of the war ending in Ukraine and be aware of the fact it can take a long time - months, even years.

At the same time, Stoltenberg highlighted that the president of russia should come to the negotiating table immediately and find a political solution, withdraw his troops and cease to attack sovereign states.
"I also believe that whenever the war ends it will have long-lasting effects on our safety. For the reason that we have observed cruelty. We have seen that President Putin is ready to apply armed forces to reach his goals", - he said.
US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley also believes the russian war against Ukraine can drag on for years.
