Tbilisi is ready to name one of its squares or streets “Heroes of Ukraine,” the Embassy of Ukraine to Georgia announced following the meeting between Charge d'Affaires Andriy Kasianov with the Chairman of the Tbilisi City Assembly, Giorgi Tkemaladze.
The parties discussed providing support to Ukrainians who are currently in Georgia. They also discussed the organization of recreation for Ukrainian children in summer camps, providing them with free access to sports centers, swimming pools, and entertainment social clubs, and employment of Ukrainians in the private sector and local governments.
Earlier, Gdańsk City Council supported the proposal of Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko to name one of the streets of the Polish city in honor of the Ukrainian hero city. And in the capital of Latvia, the street where the Russian embassy is located was renamed the Street of Ukrainian Independence.
