If the Russian Federation tries to send its military aircraft to the territory of Transdniester (self-proclaimed Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic), the Ukrainian air defense will down the aircrafts.
The Information Agency Ukrinform reports that the head of the public relations department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Bohdan Senyk, made public such a statement of the UAF.
“The Ukrainian AD will down any military and military transport aircraft of the armed forces of the Russian Federation over the territory of Ukraine if there is an attempt to send it to Tiraspol,” he said.
On 6 April 2022, the General Staff of the UAF said that there was a chance of using the territory of self-proclaimed MTR to support the offensive operation by the Russian troops in Ukraine and that Tiraspol airfield was getting ready to host Russian aircrafts.
