More than 700 people killed due in bombings and prolonged shelling from the russian troops in Chernihiv. The mayor of Chernihiv Vladyslav Atroshenko reported in the interview to DW.
“The final numbers will be released later, taking into account the fact that we will never be able to have legal proof of death of some of the people. The total number of people killed in Chernihiv is over 700”, - he stated.
Atroshenko reported that 40 people are considered missing.
“We might never get the precise number of the victims because many people are missing and we suspect they burned alive in the areas of heavy aviation bombings”, - said the mayor.
He added it that it has still not been possible to get all the people from under the rubble.
