President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that, though Russia may use even more bombs and missiles against Ukraine, the Ukrainian defenders are getting ready for that and they will respond.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made a night appeal to the Ukrainian nation. He said that the following week Russian troops would continue with a large-scale attack in the east of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian defenders are getting ready for that and will respond.

“The Russian troops will continue with even more intensive activities in the east of our state. They may apply even more missiles and bombs against us. But we are preparing for their next steps. And we will respond. We will provide Ukraine with even more weapons. We will be more active on the world stage. We will be even more active in the public field,” Zelenskyy underlined.

Mr. Zelenskyy also appealed to the leaders of other countries as well. He talked about his readiness to welcome them in Kyiv, to involve new resources for the help of Ukraine, and to discuss packages of sanctions against russia.

Moreover, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has added that he stands in full solidarity with the people of Poland on the 12th anniversary of the Smolensk air disaster.

“Today is the 12th anniversary of the Smolensk air disaster that killed president Lech Kaczynski and the representatives of the Polish elite. On this day we stand in full solidarity with our Polish friends and allies that are firm in their zero tolerance to Russian aggression,” the President underlined.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, Prime-Minister Denys Shmyhal, the ministers, the head of the Presidential Office, and the heads of power structures and of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). The meeting was devoted to the material and technical support of the security and defense forces as well as to their readiness for current military missions.
