As of April 16, 341 children had undergone treatment in health facilities because of russia's armed aggression.

The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Lyudmyla Denisova, has made this announcement referring to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Of these, 174 children continued treatment, 150 were discharged, and five died.

93% of hospitalized children received explosive or gunshot wounds.

Children aged 7 to 14 are most vulnerable. A total of 179 children in this age group were injured.

In 3% of children (12 people) who underwent treatment, amputation of limbs was necessary.

The total number of casualties is far from final, as it is impossible to determine it accurately because of ongoing hostilities.

"Russia's military aggression leads to daily violation of children's right to life and health, as guaranteed by Article 6 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. I appeal to the UN Commission to investigate human rights violations during the russian military invasion of Ukraine, and take into account the facts of russia's violations of children's rights in Ukraine. I call on international partners to close the sky over Ukraine and provide weapons to fight the aggressor country of Russia," she posted.

Since the beginning of the war, the russian occupiers have killed 200 children and wounded more than 360.
