“Ukrainian witness” released on its YouTube channel a video story about the help of four-legged defenders in the war with russian occupants.
Dozens of pets lose their masters as a result of regular shelling and bombardments. The Ukrainian military do not leave this issue unattended. They give shelter and become combat fellows with their four-legged friends. Some Ukrainian soldiers arrive at the front line with their favorite pets.
Krasavchik (Lovely), the six-year-old Labrador, has also become a defender dog. He was brought up from small by the serviceman Beskyd’s beloved person. Now, the dog lives with his master – soldier – at the front line.
The military call Krasavchik “a big cat” as a joke since he is very kind and calm. The master often takes the dog for the combat missions.
Once at such a work, the dog saved his master’s life. “I was standing chest-deep out of the trench. He (the dog – Edit.) took me and made me go into a safer place,” Beskyd told.
The soldier says that the dog understands everything and feels danger around them.
Krasavchik finds time to misbehave. If he is not taken to the combat mission, he openly demonstrates his “resentment”. Beskyd tells that the dog dirties himself with dust or dirt and goes to lay down on the master’s sleeping bag. But when his trick is discovered, he pretends that he did not intend to do it.
Pets at the front line are a big relief for the Ukrainian soldiers. The pets calm down and support them morally, and, as we see, sometimes save the lives of our defenders. The four-legged become loyal and reliable life-long friends.
