The russian occupiers again disrupted the evacuation from the city of Mariupol, at the same time they tried to deport civilians.

Petro Andryishchenko, adviser of the mayor, posted the news on Telegram.

At 11:00 near the Port-City shopping mall, at least 200 of the residents gathered and waited for evacuation to Zaporizhzhia. Instead of the buses promised by the russians, the residents of Mariupol were approached by the russian military and were ordered to go away because the “shelling was to start soon.”

At the same time, the occupiers drove buses to the venue near the Metro shopping mall (200 meters away from the agreed evacuation point) and started loading. After that, the people were told that the “evacuation” will be only as far as Dokuchaevsk, which means the occupied territory in the Donetsk region. These people were not allowed to get off the buses.

The first confirmation of the forced mobilization of men from Mariupol to the “DNR army” has been received, after that these men will be sent to the war against Ukraine.

Vice Minister Iryna Vereshchuk informed that on 23 April the occupiers are trying to organize their own corridor to deport people from Mariupol to russia.

The Ukrainian military showed civilians who found shelter in the basements of Azovstal.
