Ambassador of Ukraine to Sofia Vitaliy Moskalenko conveyed to the Bulgarian Parliament a letter from the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which Zelensky expressed hope that Bulgaria would help repair Ukrainian military equipment and continue to help the Ukrainians fleeing the war, - reported by the National Television of Bulgaria.
Zelensky also expressed hope that Bulgaria would continue to provide humanitarian aid, including medicine, clothing and food. In addition, Ukraine hopes that energy cooperation between the two countries and the export of electricity and gas from Ukraine to Bulgaria will continue. Ensuring the export of Ukrainian grain through the port of Varna is also on the agenda.
Zelensky also said he hoped Bulgaria would continue to support Ukraine on its path to EU integration.
Later on Wednesday, the Bulgarian parliament is to decide whether to support Ukraine with "military-technical equipment".
Zelensky stated about setting up the cooperation to repair Ukrainian military equipment at Bulgaria's production facilities during a joint press conference with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. The press conference was held on the occasion of Petkov’s visit to Kyiv.
