On May 3, russia launched 14 cruise missiles, which were fired from TU-160 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea. As of midnight on May 4, eight more launches had been recorded.
Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informed the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, about this.
Zaluzhnyi stressed that due to the intensification of enemy strikes, the issue of providing Ukraine with multiple launch missile systems M142 HIMARS and М270 MLRS is crucial.
“The main elements of these actions are the destruction of logistical routes to provide military and technical assistance to Ukraine,” explained Commander-in-Chief of the UAF.
He added that the enemy had shifted its main efforts to the Luhansk direction, where heavy fighting continued near Popasna, Kreminna and Torske. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched counterattacks in the Kharkiv and Izyum directions.
On May 3, the enemy launched missile strikes against targets in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Vinnytsa, Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Odesa, and Donetsk regions.
Yesterday one rocket was shot down in the Kyiv region - it fell into a shrubbery, after which a fire broke out. Two more missiles were shot down yesterday near Cherkasy. The remaining two missile attacks were carried out in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
