This afternoon, a series of explosions were heard and smoke was seen again near Belgorod, russia. Eyewitnesses reported this to LB.ua.
Probably, the event took place at the base where the helicopters of the russian army are stationed. When the explosions began, many helicopters went up to the air, circling the area.
Explosions and fires in the Belgorod region that is bordering Ukraine are surprisingly common. Three days ago, at night, the authorities of the Belgorod region announced the sounds of explosions, but in the morning justified them by the work of air defense.
On May 1, a military facility of the Ministry of Defense caught fire in this area. Last week, authorities in the Belgorod, Kursk, and Voronezh regions announced explosions and fires. An ammunition depot broke out in the Belgorod region.
On April 1, there was a fire at the oil depot, and on March 29, the warehouse suddenly began to detonate ammunition.
Also in April, a fire broke out at a large oil depot in Bryansk, “Transneft Bryansk Druzhba”, near the border with Ukraine. “Transneft-Druzhba” is in charge of the “Druzhba” pipeline, which supplies oil from russia to Europe.
Mykhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office and a member of the negotiating team, wrote that these areas are now “also beginning to study such a concept as demilitarization”.
According to Podoliak, it is very easy to explain the extraordinary events in russian warehouses: if russians start a massive attack on another country, massacring everyone there, massively trampling civilians with tanks, and using warehouses in their regions to kill, sooner or later “debts will have to be returned”.
He also said that Ukraine will defend itself in any way, including attacking the warehouses and bases of russian assassins, and that the world recognized this right.
