About 1.2 million Ukrainian citizens were illegally deported to the territory of the russian federation.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova said this at a briefing on Monday, May 9, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“More than 1 million 185 thousand of our citizens, including more than 200 thousand children, were deported to the territory of the russian federation,” Denisova said.

On May 6, 373 people were deported from Mariupol and were held in a filtration camp in the village of Bezimyane.

The russians kept 300 Mariupol residents deported to Vladivostok without money or documents.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council warns that citizens should take care of information security in case of forced deportation.
