Ukraine will export electricity to Moldova.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrhydroenergo.

According to the company, on May 10, they signed an export contract for the sale of electricity with the JSC ENERGOCOM (Moldova).

“The company sells electricity according to an uneven daily schedule, covering peak consumption and the necessary volumes for the power system of Moldova. Ukrhydroenergo will have enough generating capacity to supply Ukraine's energy system and export it. At present, special test deliveries are being carried out to test the interaction with Moldova partners”, said the company's press service.

Ukrhydroenergo`s General Director Ihor Syrota stated, that the company provides funds to Ukrenergo through exports. These are funds for the provision of electricity transmission services and the sale of excess electricity during the spring floods.

As stated earlier, Andriy Gerus, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, recently announced that Ukraine plans to export electricity and coal to European countries.
