On May 12, at about 10:00, russian troops launched a cruise missile across Zaporizhzhia, which hit the protected part of the island of Khortytsia.

This was announced by the spokesman of the Zaporizhzhia RMA Colonel Ivan Arefiev.

According to him, the missile hit caused a fire.

“After inspecting the affected area, no infrastructure damage was found. According to updated information, there are no victims and injured”, Arefiev added.

He stressed, that this was the second shelling of Khortytsia by the occupiers.

“The last time the russian military fired two cruise missiles at Khortytsia was on April 21. Then one missile fell near the Preobrazhensky Bridge, and the other damaged the sanatorium that belong to one of the enterprises”, said a spokesman for the Zaporizhzhia RMA.

We are reminding, that today the SSU reported that they prevented a terrorist attack in the center of Zaporizhzhia and detained its executor. The attacker is a resident of Dnipro, born in 1966.

On April 21, the Khortytsia shelling damaged the sanatorium building that belong to one of the enterprises. Eight people were injured.
