On Friday, May 20, the European Union disbursed a new tranche of 600 million euros to Ukraine.

This was reported on Twitter by the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

«Today, we disbursed a new tranche of €600 million in Macro-Financial Assistance to Ukraine. More is coming - we proposed an additional €9 billion loan for Ukraine in 2022», the statement said.

The head of the European Commission added that the European Commission is working on a platform for the reconstruction of Ukraine to help rebuild a free and democratic country.

On May 18, Ursula von der Leyen announced that the European Commission would provide Ukraine with a new €9 billion macro-financial assistance package.

Furthermore, the cities and regions of the European Union are helping to rebuild their Ukrainian counterparts.
