American weapons arrive in Ukraine quickly, sometimes less than in a day, because the United States understands that "these things can not wait."
"Radio Svoboda" reports that the press-attaché of the US Embassy in Ukraine, Daniel Langenkamp, announced this information.
“All weapons come from US depots, which are alreade ready. This means we quickly find ways to transport it. It reaches Ukraine in hours (sometimes less than in a day). Just imagine how fast it is. "Let's take, for example, howitzers: we announced about them, they have arrived, and almost all of them are already being used in Ukraine." - said a press-attaché for the US Embassy.
Langenkamp says the United States "has never in its history transferred equipment so quickly and so many of it to any other country."
He also emphasized that if it is necessary, the Ukrainian military is taught how to use the provided weapons.
"There is training on any weapon we provide to Ukrainians. We do not provide weapons that people do not know how to use, or weapons that cannot be mastered quickly. We try to help so that you can use our help immediately," - assured the press-attaché of the embassy.
On 19 May 2022, US President Joe Biden welcomed the Senate's support package worth $ 40bn to Ukraine and announced a new batch of weapons for the Ukrainian army. Later the Pentagon released a new aid package for Ukraine.
According to the Pentagon information, since the beginning of 2021, when the Biden administration started its work, the United States has provided Ukraine with assistance worth about $ 4.6bn, $ 3.9bn of which Ukraine received since the full-scale russian invasion began on 24 February 2022.
