Evacuation from Luhansk region: Sievierodonetsk volunteer traveled 65km under constant occupiers' fire

While evacuating, a volunteer from Sievierodonetsk Arif Bahirov traveled 65 km under the constant fire of the occupiers, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai reported.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine employees met Arif on the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway and drove him to safety.

"Arif Bahirov organized a local volunteer network back in April. More than 10 couriers were moving around the dangerous city to deliver food and medicine to the Sievierodonetsk citizens with reduced mobility. They drove the surviving cars, rode bicycles, or walked," – the region's leader mentioned.

Haidai added that Arif kept helping until the very end.

"Now the situation in Sievierodonetsk is extremely escalated. It's dangerous for life to stay there so the man decided to evacuate," – the RMA head summed up.

Haidai has reported previously that russians are firing close at the high-rise buildings on the outskirts of Sievierodonetsk.
