Polish President Andrzej Duda has said that russia must pay for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities and villages destroyed by the russian occupation army.
This was stated by the President of Poland during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada on 22 May.
He added that Poland wants to take an active part in the reconstruction of Ukraine through special funds. Andrzej Duda plans to talk about the creation of such funds in the coming days during the summit in Davos.
“But let us remember that Ukraine must be rebuilt primarily at the expense of the aggressor. Such are the demands of historical justice. At the expense of the russian Federation,” he said.
To do this, according to Duda, it is necessary to freeze russian foreign exchange reserves in Western banks.
“It is russia that has destroyed Ukraine, and russia must pay for it,” Duda said.

By the way, as of the end of April, the total losses of Ukraine's economy (direct and indirect) due to the war ranged from 564 to 600 billion dollars. The total amount of direct documented infrastructure damage reached almost $88bn.
