The Belarusian military is busy conducting reconnaissance and defence of the state border with Ukraine, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, has said at a briefing.
He noted that conscript soldiers are now being involved in these efforts.
According to Motuzyanyk, the Belarusian military has placed wooden models of tanks to create an illusion of their presence in border areas.
He recalled that Russian army units and Iskander mobile short range ballistic missile systems are staying in Belarus.
"Unfortunately, the threat of missile strikes from the Republic of Belarus against Ukraine remains," he said.
