The first batch of UAVs under the Drone Army project has been dispatched to the front line, Digital Transformation Minister Mykhaylo Fedorov has said.

He noted that people who donate their drones often add letters "with wishes of victory, their own stories or drone description".

"Today we got such letters from Polina and Mykyta. Polina is 12 years old and Mykyta is 14. Polina is worried if her drone is good enough to bring Ukraine's victory closer. Mykyta wants to work with us on the project to be useful. This is incredible!" Fedorov said.

He added that every donation is important regardless of the sum.

On 2 July, the UNITED24 fundraising platform, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff and the Digital Transformation Ministry launched the Drone Army project.

In a matter of days, they have raised nearly 200m hryvnyas. The Digital Transformation Ministry said that they have arranged for the training of 150 UAV operators.
