The cyber police have warned of the dangers of using mobile applications developed by the Russian Federation's intelligence services, the Interior Ministry's press service has said.
"Through hostile apps in the form of a game, the enemy obtains information from users about the location of military facilities, critical infrastructure or induces citizens to unconsciously help the occupiers. Above all, the user should be alerted if the app suggests taking photos of the area, sharing geolocation or drawing a 'picture' on the asphalt," the report said.
The cyber police recommend downloading apps only from official sources, such as App Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store, AppGallery, etc.
Ukrainians are also asked to check all available data, such as information about the developers, accesses the app requires when installing, user reviews.
