The Ukrainian military are in the vicinity of Lysychansk in Luhansk Region, Russian armed formations are leaving the city, the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Hayday, has said, as quoted by Suspilne.
The official did not provide any details.
"There will be no details. But our Ukrainian Armed Forces are in the vicinity of Lysychansk. The Russians are in panic, they are leaving en masse," he noted.
In a Telehram post, Hayday also listed the towns which are prepared to be liberated.
"Svatove and Kreminna - how are you doing? I was just wondering)). Lysychansk ...... is a wonderful Ukrainian town)). Oh what a job it will be to rebuild," he said.
In recent days, Ukrainian troops have liberated over a thousand square kilometres of Ukrainian territory from the occupiers. In certain directions, Ukrainian troops have penetrated the enemy defence up to 50 km deep. More than 30 settlements temporarily occupied by the Russians in Kharkiv Region have been liberated or taken under control.
