The Ukrainian Armed Forces are successfully counterattacking not only in Kharkiv Region, but also in Kherson Region, a spokesperson for the Operational Command South, Natalya Humenyuk, has said on the air of the telethon, according to Hromadske Radio.
According to her, in the south Ukrainian troops destroyed more than 70 occupiers, nine tanks, two howitzers of large-calibre artillery, which they constantly fired on the Nikopol region.
With no success on the battlefield, the occupiers are taking revenge on civilians by shelling areas that are beyond their reach, Humenyuk notes.
"There have been S-300 strikes on Mykolayiv, they are trying to hit critical infrastructure there, but fortunately there are no human casualties in either area. This is the main thing for us. There is an advance of our troops along the southern front line in various sections ranging from two to several dozen kilometres. Soon we will certainly announce the settlements that are happily welcoming our fighters," Humenyuk said.
