Russian occupiers have stepped up activities in Kherson Region due to the offensive of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff has said.
The occupiers are trying to reinforce Kherson by pulling new units here. Their servicemen, the General Staff noted, hardly know the city.
The Russians are trying to carry out reconstruction work at the bridge of the Kakhovka hydro power plant. But its section is under fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Nova Kakhovka, the occupiers have stepped up filtering activities involving FSB officers. They are checking mobile devices, looking for Ukrainians helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The General Staff noted that a similar situation is observed in Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhya Region.
According to the Operational Command South, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced several dozens of kilometres in Kherson Region. The military promises to report on the progress soon.
