In the past three days, Ukrainian air defence units destroyed enemy targets worth $157.5 million, the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force has said.

"In just three days of war, the occupiers wasted about $157.5 million. And we are talking only about means of air attack: cruise missiles, planes and helicopters destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, air defence units of the Ground Troops and the Airborne Assault Troops on 5-7 September. The enemy losses in hard currency were calculated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces," it noted.

The Air Force noted that some of the most expensive and technologically advanced missiles in the Russian Armed Forces are the Kh-101 cruise missile.

"Six Kh-101s were fired by the enemy against Ukraine on 5 September (five of them were shot down by the Air Force). The estimated cost of the Kh-101 is $13 million per unit. 13 x 6 = $78 million," the Air Force said.

Also destroyed were:

- two Kh-59 guided aviation missiles - $600,000 ($300,000 per unit);

- two Ka-52 attack helicopters worth $32.4 million ($16.2 million per unit) and an Mi-24 attack helicopter ($12.5 million per unit);

- Airborne Assault Troops destroyed three Su-25 attack aircraft worth $33 million ($11 million per unit);

- 10 operational-tactical drones of the Orlan-10 type, worth $1 million ($100,000 per unit).

"So, according to tentative estimates, the losses of the Russian army in the sky in three days along amounted to $157.5 million," the Air Force said.
