The Russian army has withdrawn from the border community of Zolochiv in Kharkiv Region, community head Viktor Kovalenko has said, as quoted by Suspilne.
"People saw them board buses and leave the population centres that were temporarily occupied. These are Turovo, Makarovo. According to locals, as of today, the Muscovites went from there to Kozacha Lopan while Russian troops which were stationed near Udy left their positions and retreated to Russian territory," he explained.
He added that at around 2.30 a.m. the occupiers shelled Zolochiv, having damaged two houses.
According to accounts from the Derhachiv community, Russian occupiers fled Kozacha Lopan.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the liberation of Chkalovske in Kharkiv Region.
