Kyiv Region tackles "serious consequences" of Russian missile attack

The head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, has told 24 Kanal TV the Russian missile strike on the morning of 15 October has had "serious consequences".

Kuleba noted though that no-one was killed or injured as a result of the shelling. At the same time, he clarified that after the morning missile attack on one of the communities in Kyiv Region there are "serious consequences at one of the energy infrastructure facilities".

He said that it is now important to take measures to ensure that the load on the power system from 17:00 to 22:00 is not as peak as usual. According to him, immediately after the end of the air alarm, all services began to work on mitigating the consequences. As of 15:50, the elimination of the consequences of the missile strike continued, in particular, repair works were underway.

Earlier, Ukrenergo warned that it might need to switch to an emergency shutdown schedule in Kyiv Region due to the Russian missile attack.
