The number of Russian troops in occupied Severodonetsk is increasing. The training of mobilised soldiers is underway there, the head of Severodonetsk city military-civil administration, Oleksandr Stryuk, has said on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reported.
"About 7,000-8,000 residents remain in the city. Currently, according to the incoming reports, the occupiers' contingent is slightly increasing in the city. The training of the mobilised is underway," Stryuk said.
According to him, social institutions and even hospitals are being used to accommodate the military.
He noted that it is difficult for the population to survive since "humanitarian aid" from the invaders comes in limited quantities.
"People are making ends meet at the expense of the surrounding villages. In fact, it is a natural exchange: food for things. Health care is at a primitive level, as well as other aspects of life. It is impossible to start the heating season in the city centrally, no matter what the occupying authorities declare," said Stryuk.
He noted that people seek shelter for the winter in the surrounding villages and garden cooperatives, where it is possible to use solid fuel for heating.
