Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine caused the missiles to hit the territory of Poland, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated, according to the Guardian.

Sunak voiced this opinion at a briefing after the G20 summit in Bali.

“We should all be clear, none of this would be happening if it weren’t for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This is the cruel and unrelenting reality of Putin’s war. As long as it goes on, it poses a threat to our security and that of our allies… and continues to devastate the global economy,” said the British Prime Minister.

Sunak added that Russia's war against Ukraine has affected food security in the world. And due to the attempts of Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the supply of Ukrainian grain, world food markets have suffered.

Earlier, the British Prime Minister said that Russia should withdraw from Ukraine and end the barbaric war. He also added that Britain will continue to support Ukraine.
