The 279th day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun. The occupiers are focusing their efforts on deterring the actions of the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The relocation of enemy personnel and military equipment to replenish the units that suffered losses continues. It is expected that some enemy units will be redeployed from the Belarusian territory after they acquire combat capabilities.
Over the past day, the units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the occupiers near the settlements of Novoselivske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Region and Serebryanka, Verkhnekamyanske, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Pervomayske, Opytne, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces stated on Facebook.
The enemy launched 9 missile and 13 air strikes, carried out more than 50 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. The threat of missile strikes by the Russian occupiers on critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine remains.
In the Volyn and Polissya areas, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
In the Siversk area, mortar and artillery shelling was recorded in the vicinities of Senkivka, Chernihiv Region and Seredyna Buda, Novovolodymyrivka, Rozhkovychi of Sumy Region.
In the Slobozhansk area, the areas of the settlements of Strilecha, Starytsa, Ohirtseve, Budarki, Chugunivka and Ambarne of Kharkiv Region were hit by mortar and rocket artillery fire.
In the Kupyansk area, the enemy maintains the defence of previously occupied lines. Fired artillery of various types in the areas of the settlements of Bolohivka, Kamyanka, Kupyansk, Tabayivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove of Kharkiv Region.
In the Lyman area, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations. Fired artillery in the areas of Makiyivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka settlements of Luhansk Region; Yampolivka, Torske, Donetsk Region.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas, the russian occupiers continue to focus their main efforts on offensive operations. Objects in the areas of Serebryanka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiyivka, Andriivka, Kurdyumivka, Vesele, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Pervomayske, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Maryinka and Novomykhaylivka of Donetsk Region were hit by fire from tanks and artillery.
In the area of Novopavlivsk, the enemy carried out artillery fire on the areas of Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva and Neskuchne settlements of Donetsk Region.
In the Zaporizhzhya area, the occupiers are conducting defensive operations. Shots from mortars, barrel and rocket artillery on the positions of the Defence Forces of Ukraine and the areas of populated areas of Zaporizhzhya Region, which are not far from the contact line, are recorded. The civilian infrastructure of the city of Dnipro was hit by enemy rockets.
The occupiers are conducting a positional defence in the Kryvy Rih and Kherson areas. Artillery shelling of units of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River, including the city of Kherson, does not stop. In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk Region, the occupiers carry out the so-called nationalization of the property of agro-industrial enterprises. In particular, in the settlement of Bilokurakyne, harvest and equipment from local agricultural companies are exported.
The enemy continues to suffer losses. The area where one of the divisions of the russian occupation forces is located in the city of Svatove, Luhansk Region, has been confirmed to have been damaged. According to preliminary information, the losses of the enemy are up to 20 soldiers killed and more than 30 wounded.
In the occupied part of Kherson Region Russians have tightened the administrative and police regime, and some units of the armed forces there are planned to be replaced by units of the Russian Guard.
Aviation of the Defence Forces struck three times at enemy depots and concentration areas. Two enemy Su-25 and Su-24 aircraft were shot down.
