Diplomats informed the DPA agency that Russia had ordered hundreds more drones and missiles from Iran, Die Zeit Online writes.
"We know that Iran plans to significantly increase the supply of unmanned missiles and rockets to Russia," sources at the UN in New York told the agency.
According to the interlocutors, the government in Moscow wants to counteract the acute shortage of military supplies.
"I don't think they have been shipped yet, but they are definitely in the order books," a source in New York said.
Iran sent drones to Russia in August. Information about Iran's agreement to supply Russia with new ballistic missiles and more attack drones appeared as early as October.
On the night of 7 December, after a three-week break, Russia resumed massive attacks with Iranian Shahed-136 drones, marked by the Russians as "Geran".
