Propagandists spread fakes about the capture of new settlements. In fact, hospitals in the temporarily occupied territory are overcrowded with wounded occupiers, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said at a briefing, LB.ua reports.

"Another Russian propaganda failed... They were quite active in telling how they are conducting an effective counteroffensive in the Zaporizhzhya area. And that they allegedly captured several settlements. This is not true. Our Armed Forces clearly understand where the danger for the Russians will come from and definitely have other plans. Namely, to liberate all cities and towns," he said.

Fedorov emphasized that currently "the result of the so-called Russian counter-offensive, which they have been actively talking about, is hundreds of Russians in hospitals in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Region. On the other hand, many are missing or will return to Russia in black bags."

According to him, "almost all hospitals in the temporarily occupied territory are overcrowded. Mostly, there are wounded Russians there."

At the same time, 800 new police gauleiters have been transferred from Krasnodar and Rostov Regions to the temporarily occupied territory.

"They have not been taken to towns and villages. They all live in Melitopol Region... They are afraid of resistance, that they will be killed in the villages. Because even after almost a year of occupation, residents openly say that they don't want Russians."
