Norway is providing financial assistance to our country in the amount of 75 billion Norwegian kroner (about $7.3 billion), President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his video address on 6 February.

According to him, the support package is designed for five years.

"This is an extremely significant contribution to the victory we are working on. A joint victory of all those who really value freedom and value life," Zelenskyy said.

According to NRK, Norway plans to spend 50% of the funds on defence and the other half on civilian aid.

On 7 February, the Norwegian government plans to present a detailed plan for long-term support for Ukraine to the parliament.

The state also plans to increase spending from its sovereign wealth fund in the coming years to finance military and civilian aid to Ukraine.
