Parliament has received Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's nominations for three ministers, Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in parliament, has said.

The three nominees are:

Mykhaylo Fedorov – for Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology and Minister of Digital Transformation;

Oksen Lisovyy – for Minister of Education and Science;

Oleksandr Kamyshin – for Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

Earlier today, MPs dismissed Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet, Minister of Strategic Industries Pavlo Ryabikin, and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhaylo Fedorov.

Later, a vote is planned to appoint new heads of these ministries. The Ministry of Strategic Industries may be eliminated altogether.

Fedorov has been the Minister of Digital Information since August 2019. He was one of the few ministers who retained their posts after the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk's government.

Oksen Lisovyy is a volunteer and head of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Kamyshin was the board chairman of Ukrzaliznytsya (Ukrainian Railway) in 2021-2023, when he resigned with plans to head UZ's office in Europe. After leaving, he became a freelance advisor to the president of Ukraine.
