Defence forces advance in Bakhmut, Zaporizhzhya sectors

In the Bakhmut sector they advanced by 200-500 metres and in the Zaporizhzhya sector by 300-350 metres.

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are making advances in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhya sectors. In the Bakhmut sector, they have progressed by 200-500 metres, while in the Zaporizhzhya sector, the advance is reported to be 300-350 metres.

Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar provided this information, stating that the Ukrainian troops are facing intense fighting, with the enemy having air and artillery superiority. The statement highlights ongoing battles in the Makarivka village area in the Berdyansk sector and the Novodanylivka and Novopokrovka areas in the Mariupol sector.

Russia is reported to be suffering losses in personnel, equipment, and weapons. For instance, recent losses include an artillery battery of self-propelled guns, two electronic warfare systems, a concentration of vehicles (around 10 units), a radar system for reconnaissance and fire control, and air defence systems.

Earlier, the General Staff announced that the Ukrainian army had achieved partial success in the offensive, liberating approximately 3 square kilometers of territory. The fighting continues, particularly in the Berdyansk direction.
