According to preliminary estimates, Ukraine's GDP grew by 2.4% in the first quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said at a government meeting.

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers is working to create "reasonable and effective incentives for business". To this end, at a meeting on 13 June, the Cabinet of Ministers extended a number of programmes.

"Today, we will make a decision that will allow us to extend the state-based portfolio guarantee programme worth UAH 7.8 billion. This is one of the programmes of affordable preferential loans, when the state covers up to 80% of an entrepreneur's loan to a bank," Shmyhal said.

In addition, the programme of soft loans "5-7-9" was extended. The prime minister said that during the full-scale war, loans worth more than UAH 115 billion had been issued.

The programme of non-repayable grants eRobota is also in operation. "More than 4,500 grants have already been issued, which means thousands of new businesses and jobs. During the last, eighth wave, 228 new grants were issued," the prime minister added.
