Seven settlements liberated in Zaporizhzhya sector - Hromov

Ukrainian troops liberated seven settlements in the Zaporizhzhya sector over the past week, regaining control over 103 sq km, a deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Hromov, has said, as quoted by Military Media Centre.

The advance of Ukrainian units deep into the enemy's defences ranged from 3 to 6.5 km. In the Melitopol sector, the advance of Ukrainian troops south of the village of Mala Tokmachka was up to 3 km. They took control of 22 sq km and liberated the village of Lobkove.

In the Berdyansk sector, Ukrainian troops liberated six settlements: Levadne, Novodarivka, Neskuchne, Storozhove, Makarivka and Bilohorivka. Control was regained over 81 sq km.

Ukrainian troops continue both defensive and offensive actions and have had partial success. No positions have been lost along the defence lines.
