Col-Gen Oleksandr Syrskyy, commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has visited the Bakhmut area where the Defence Forces "continue to move forward and liberate Ukrainian land".
The commander noted that he and the commanders of brigades and tactical groups had identified the main tasks and planned further actions.
"The enemy continues to deploy its military units near Bakhmut and concentrates large forces in this area. But we have a clear task - to de-occupy our territories. Our advantage is in quality, precision and motivation," he emphasised.
He added that he thanked the defenders for their quality work and progress and praised the units of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, 5th Separate Assault Brigade, 54th Separate Mechanised Brigade, 57th Separate Mechanised Infantry Brigade and 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade.
"There is important work ahead. The enemy will be defeated," Syrskyy said.
